How do I create a custom dictionary, ignore list or compliance list?

Sometimes there are words that you are not allowed to use due to your company's compliance regulations. You can add them to your Compliance List and Atomic Reach will let you know whenever you include any of these words in your writing.

Add and manage words in the Compliance List.

Step 1. Navigate to the account settings panel.

Step 2. Click "Word Lists" in the navigation ribbon.

Step 3. Three options are available for inputting custom language.

Custom Dictionary: Teach Atomic Reach any custom words that it should recognize.

Ignore: Atomic Reach will not prompt you to modify these words.

Compliance: Atomic Reach will identify words that you have identified as unchangeable due to compliance guidelines.

To start, toggle to the appropriate list you would like to work with.

Clicking on a specific list will display the inventory of words. Example choosing "Custom Dictionary" will display all of the custom word preferences this account has entered.

Step 4. From any of the word lists (Custom Dictionary, Ignore or Compliance) add language on the right side in the "Add Words" toolbox.

Set your preferences:

  • Type direction into the text box or upload a CSV *check the box to exclude the first row header
  • Check the box to confirm the list this word belongs to (Custom Dictionary, Ignore or Compliance)
  • Click "Submit" to complete this addition

Step 5. Refresh the page and confirm your additions are displaying correctly in the word list inventory
